What to do in the summer?

what to do in summer what to do in winter

A visit to Canmore can be as active — or as lazy — as you choose. Most people come for the multitude of recreational opportunities, which are varied and interesting all year-round.

Hiking, golf, fishing, mountain biking, climbing, canoeing and kayaking are some of the staples of a summer’s day. Rent gear right here in Canmore if you do not have your own. Whitewater rafting, helicopter flightseeing, heli-hiking, horseback rides, and cave tours are other exciting options. Less adventurous might try an interpretive walk with Friends of Banff.

If you’re looking for a slower pace, spend some time discovering Canmore’s downtown, a charming collection of shops and galleries, with a truly delectable selection of restaurants to choose from. Enjoy the small-town atmosphere which still prevails here.

Or book into a day spa for a luxurious treatment. It’s almost as therapeutic as gazing at the mountains which surround the town.

The hardest part of your day may just be deciding which of many activities to do.
